So we finally got to go out to dinner! with Asher of course :p. It was so much fun, we went with another couple that lives by us and their little girl. It was the first time since Asher has been born that we have gone out to a restaurant to eat, and he didn't do too bad.
Asher is also going up on his hands and knees great and sits and rocks back and forth. He has down going backwards perfectly though! The past two days he has decided he doesn't need any naps throughout the day, so its been a little hard on mom and has made him pretty grumpy. Every time I tried to put him down for a nap he screamed and I would try for an hour sometimes more and he still wouldn't fall asleep. I decided to take him for a walk to see if that would put him to sleep (it didn't!). It was finally nice outside and it was great to be able to get out of the house with him.
When Andrew gets home from work everyday as soon as Asher sees him he smiles so much, even if he has been grumpy. He just loves his dad so much! Sometimes I think its just not fair that I get him all day and deal with him being upset and Andrew gets home and he is happy as can be. However, I cant complain too much because Asher isn't bad that often. He is a pretty good baby and I'm lucky to call him my son.

So a couple big things have happened this past week. First Brett came home from Taiwan! (Pictured above playing the guitar) Asher loved listening to him play the guitar and even helped sing a little.
Second, Asher slept in his crib all yesterday for his naps, then slept in his crib all night too! Lately he wouldn't even want to sleep in his pack and play he would want to sleep with mom or in his swing. Another big accomplishment was that we didn't have to bounce him to sleep we just had to rock him in the glider. If you dont know, Asher had needed to be bounced on an exercise ball to go to sleep since he was born. So this is a big step! Now we are just hoping he sleeps longer stretches at night.

So Asher is now 5 months old! who could believe that time would be going this fast! He is just such a fun and loving kid and I don't know what I would do without him. He loves vegetables and doesn't much care for fruits. He currently has no teeth, he is trying hard to get to places he wants to go by rolling and wiggling around, not crawling yet but he is sure trying. His smile is definitely contagious.

Asher and I also spent a couple days at grandma Vickie's house so that we could spend some time around everyone (and so mom could have some help.) It was so much fun to be around family and Asher just adores being around all the kids. We got some really good smiles there and it was just overall great.

Andrew will have around 100 hours for the past two weeks after working today! That man really amazes me in all that he does for our family. Asher and I are so lucky to have him, and we are so excited that we finally get next weekend with him!
